The following is a little bit of background on our esteemed speakers:



 Ted Mort, Vice President – Eco3D   

As Co-Founder and Vice President of Eco3d (, Ted Mort oversees all operations including BIM Services, Reality Capture, and Product Development. His focus on pragmatic applications of new technology has lead the team to integrate the tangible value of reality capture into more than 500 diverse clients, including some of the biggest names in Commercial Office, Hospitality, Industrial/Manufacturing and Retail. Ted is an industry influencer, sitting on the Board of Directors for the US Institute of Building Documentation and the United Surveyors of Arizona, lecturing at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University, and speaking at numerous industry conferences.


Cheryl Jefferies, Vice President | Senior Practice Specialist ‘On-Site’ Services  – HOK  

Cheryl is a Vice President and Senior Practice Specialist with ‘On Site Services’ at HOK.  She is focused on services in Space Management including Space/Occupancy Planning, Data Management, Technology Assessments and Strategy.  In her projects, she ensures strong links to the processes and tools needed to place information in the hands of facilities decision makers.  She believes that ‘solid data drives decisions’ and has developed and led teams to manage clients’ data and drawings for large international portfolios of multiple facility types.  She brings strong project management skills with experience in implementing Integrated Workplace Management solutions with a focus on ‘what is important’ and the drivers behind the solution.  Cheryl is a longstanding member of IFMA in Canada.


Damon Ranieri, Senior BIM Integration Manager – LendLease  

Mr. Ranieri is a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Subject Matter Expert, engineering and construction management professional with recognized global experience providing the strategy, implementation, training and execution of the latest advances in building design technology. A technologist with an education and career beginning in manufacturing, he brings nearly 20 years of experience maximizing profitability and sustainability for construction managers, architects and engineers by defining metrics, applications, and equipment necessary to deliver work. Mr. Ranieri has managed multiple BIM implementation initiatives for AEC firms over the past 10 years, including deployments in Sao Paulo, London, and Tianjin, China. Damon brings cutting experience with the latest and most innovative technology available to the design and construction industry.

As Senior BIM Integration Manager, Mr. Ranieri leads and develops the implementation of VDC technologies within the Chicago office of Lendlease. With proven skills in both building and integrating construction models, he is vital in championing the value of exciting new tools for the pre-construction process, the early phases of coordination, providing support and tracking processes throughout the life cycle of a project, as well as fabrication and building operations. He develops project-specific BIM implementation plans and strategies including staffing, hardware and software cost forecasts, clash detection, 4D simulations, logistics, and safety analysis. Damon remains on the forefront of all BIM software, industry research and best practices, and new technologies, while demonstrating the value of these systems on all appropriate Lendlease projects.


Ivan Jaramillo, AEC  Worldwide Sales Development Executive – Autodesk  

Ivan Jaramillo is a Sales Developer Executive working at Autodesk, he has an extensive background with more than 13 years of experience in the design and construction industries. Ivan worked on more than 30 projects ranging from $11 million to $172 million. As a Virtual Design Construction Senior Manager, Ivan delivered customized solutions involving the development of PxP plans, program validation, Design Validation, Sustainability and Engineering, Prefabrication and Constructability, Design Coordination, Quantity Takeoff and Estimation, 4D Scheduling and Sequencing, Micro coordination, Digital Documents, laser scanning, model based layout, and virtual mockups. He established a divisional Building information Department and developed internal standard operation procedures for the embedment of BIM workflows across units. At Autodesk he is currently supporting developers and clients with the implementation of COBie and Industry Foundation Class standards.


Ted Ritter, Co-Founder | DrawAlert  

Ted Ritter has worked and travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He is the Principal of LMI360, a company that solely supports organizations that support the Built Environment, and Co-Founder of DrawAlert, a technology solution for improving results on Construction Projects.

He is the current SAG Leader of the IFMA Information Technology Community, a member of the IFMA America’s Advisory Board and a Past President of the Phoenix Chapter. He continues to support the Chapter’s Annual Charity Golf Event which provides funding for the FM Advanced Degree Programs at ASU and the IFMA Foundation. He is also the co-founder of the Facility Managers Peer Group which has a global following of over 3,600 on LinkedIn and co-author of “The Facility Manager’s Guide to Information Technology”, author of multiple articles and has contributed to over 100 presentations on Best Practices in regards to the use of FM Technology, Sustainability and Brand Management

Ted has supported client projects with a wide range needs including those of: IBM, American Express, Bechtel, Roche, Motorola, Boeing, Mandalay Resort Group/MGM, Multiple Universities, Distributed Retailers, and a wide range of Government Projects.


Dr. Joachim Hohmann, PhD, MSc, CFM, Consultants Circle – Germany  

Joachim W. Hohmann, PhD, CFM is a Professor at the School of Building Construction of the Technical University Kaiserslautern, Germany teaching Foundations of Facility Management and Information Technology. As a co-founder and CEO of Consultants Circle, Frankfurt, Germany, he provides consultancy in facility management strategy and digitization to major companies and federal agencies, state and local governments. He is a chartered surveyor of the European Patent Office and author of numerous books, articles, and surveys on IT in Facility and Real Estate Management.

Joachim earned his CFM (Certified Facility Manager) designation from IFMA in 2002. He is represented in IFMA’s FMCC (Facility Management Consultants Council) and ITC (Information Technology Community) since 2004 and serves as their global liaison for Central Europe. From 2010 to 2013 he served as Director on IFMA’s global board of directors in Houston, TX, USA. From 2013 to 2016 he represented IFMA on the Board of Directors of Global FM, Melbourne, Australia.


Jen Suerth, Vice President of Technical Services – Pepper Construction  

As vice president of technical services at Pepper Construction, Jen provides strategic direction for the company with regard to Building Information Modeling (BIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), laser scanning, virtual reality and other technical services specialties. She serves as a key advisor to project teams on constructability and implementation strategies throughout the early stages of project design and development, as well as providing leadership on construction, fabrication and facility management.

Jen has more than 12 years of experience in architecture, engineering and construction, and is a leader in the Chicago virtual construction community, speaking frequently and running workshops educating others on BIM. She has been recognized among 2017 BD+C’s 40 Under 40, 2016 Women in Construction by Constructech Magazine, Chicago Building Congress Future Leaders and ENR Midwest’s Top 20 Under 40.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture, Structures, both from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.


Daniel Stonecipher, CEO | President – IMMERSIVx  

Daniel Stonecipher is the managing principal providing the technology and strategy vision of IMMERSIVx, a software development and consulting services firm specializing in Integrated BIM and GIS with Real Estate, Facilities, Asset and Workplace Management. This solution connects Design, Construction and Smart Commissioning with all aspects of Facilities Planning, Budgeting, Operations and Maintenance. Mr. Stonecipher is an active Board Member of the IFMA Technology Community serving as the Immediate Past President and currently the BIM Chair to organize and managing all aspects of the IFMA BIM Conference. Daniel also serves on the AEC ST (Science + Technology) Advisory Board and has also served on the advisory boards of Gravity Jack Inc., developers of custom augmented and virtual reality software and SPAR the leading source of information on spatial-related 3D technology.

Mr. Stonecipher is a business, technology and process development professional with over 25 years’ experience in the AEC+O industry providing thought leadership through consulting and technology solutions with the leading AEC firms globally such as AECOM, Parsons Brinkerhoff, KEO International and with clients such as Caltech, HP, and the Denver International Airport (DIA) to name a few. Daniel provides industry thought leadership presenting nationally several times a year.


Greg Schleusner, Principal | Director of Design Technologies – HOK  

Greg Schleusner, AIA is a Principal and Director of Design Technology Innovation at HOK. In this role, he guides the firm in researching and adopting new technologies ranging from data management to computational design.

Greg is also active within buildingSMART; he currently serves as the Director of buildingSMART Initiatives for BIMForum. He is also the leader of the Technical  Room within buildingSMART International where he is driving the development of an Open Source IFC toolkit and the development of a larger technical roadmap for buildingSMART.  Greg has a Bachelors in Architecture from Iowa State and a Master’s in Technology Management from Columbia.


Simon Davis, Sales Director – Saltmine  

Simon leads Business Development for Saltmine and is an 18 year veteran of the Real Estate industry. Simon specializes in Real Estate Technology focusing on helping clients leverage solutions to meet both the clients tactical and strategic needs. Simon is part of the IFMA Technology Community, serving as Global Liaison, serves as President of the CoreNet Global Arizona Chapter and recently became a member of Faculty on the CoreNet Global Masters of Corporate Real Estate, specializing in both CRE Technology and Workplace Stategy.

Simon earned his law degree from the University of Southampton, UK and a Master’s degree in Business and Information Technology from the University of Salford, UK.


Doug Sinclair, Sr. Director, Asset Advisory – AECOM  

A Former U.S. Marine (12 yrs. active), highly motivated, confident “out-of-the-box” critical thinker, results-oriented leader and adept problem solver, with proven success in various roles focused in the AEC/OO Industry. More than 29 years of experience, which includes program and project management, project controls, BIM/GIS, QA/QC, commissioning as well as facilities and asset management.

Throughout his career, Doug has been responsible for defining, developing, implementing and integrating project controls and related technologies used to collect, manage and analyze program, project and asset related data generated from planning, design, project controls and quality management activities for major building, plant and transportation projects.


Brittany Gamble, Lead Facilities Consultant, Project Manager – Gilbane Building Company  

Brittany Gamble is a Project Manager and Lead CAFM Consultant for Gilbane Facility Management Services.  Brittany has extensive experience with different Facility Management systems and an expertise in CAFM work processes.  Previous to joining Gilbane, Brittany was an architect for over 20 years with a focus on Strategic Planning, Space Management and other CAFM related services.   With Gilbane, Brittany has become engaged in applying BIM to FM technologies to better execute her projects and enhance her project deliverables.”


Brian Haines, Vice President of Marketing – FM:Systems  

Brian Haines is a twenty year veteran of marketing and product management of Cloud and desktop products specifically created for the building industry. Brian is currently the Vice President of Marketing at FM:Systems where he manages all aspects of marketing strategy and planning. Brian writes extensively on the topic of BIM and facilities and contributes a bi-monthly column to Revit Community online and is an active blogger. Brian is a frequent speaker and has presented at events such as Autodesk University, IFMA World Workplace, NFM&T and the AIA convention. Brian currently serves as vice-chair for the National Institute of Building Science (NIBS) COBie Task Group (CTG).

Prior to joining FM:Systems, Brian was an Industry Marketing Manager in the Building Industry Group at Autodesk. His primary responsibilities included the Go-To-Market execution for the Autodesk Building Design Suite and several key Cloud Initiatives. Brian has a Bachelors of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona.


Karl Heitman, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C, President | Founder  – Heitman Architects  

Founder and President of Heitman Architects, Karl brings over 25 years of experience and expertise in the design of corporate facilities including a diverse range of industrial manufacturing, corporate consolidation, and redevelopment projects. As a differentiator, Karl has coupled his unique understanding of real estate value with emerging digital technologies to deliver sophisticated, high performance buildings that inspire and transform tomorrow’s businesses. Recognized as the CoreNet Global 2016 Sustainable Leadership Award recipient, Heitman Architects is a thought leader for sustainable and technology-integrated architectural design. His national reputation for innovation is based on sophisticated facility solutions incorporating Virtual 3D data modeling and sustainable ‘next generation’ facility design for diverse clients across all sectors of the economy.

Karl currently leads the firm as Design Principal. He is an active member of the AIA: American Institute of Architects, DFC; Design Futures Council, and the USGBC: US Green building Council.


Chad Knutson, LEED AP,  Divisional VDC Manager  – Gilbane Building Company  

Chad Knutson is the Divisional VDC Manger for Gilbane Building Company. His main focus is to drive efficiency throughout the lifecycle of a facility though BIM and technology implementation. A sustained area of emphasis has been to integrate data and models, generated in construction, and translate that into operational data for Facility Management.   He teams with Gilbane’s Facilities Management Services Division to create customized project deliverables to Owners and FM Staff.


Geoff Williams, FMP, SFP, Director, Operations  – Angus Consulting Management Limited  

Geoff Williams is Director, Operations at Angus Consulting Management Limited in Toronto, Ontario where he supports the varying needs of a broad range of clients (healthcare, higher education, commercial and data centres).

Prior to joining ACML he was the senior executive in charge of strategic and operational leadership for a conference centre in the Toronto area.  Earlier in his career, Geoff oversaw the development, implementation and marketing of a web-based CAFM solution that is currently assisting the daily operations of a wide variety of health care facilities in managing more than 10 million square feet of property.

Mr. Williams is also a past Director on IFMA’s Global Board of Directors, a past President (and current SAG Leader) of the IT Community of IFMA and the past president of the Toronto Chapter of IFMA.


Matthew Sulhoff, Director, Application Services  – Invicara  

Two common themes distinguish Matthew’s career: serving design and construction professionals and evangelizing and implementing BIM.

For over 20 years, he has helped clients develop BIM processes that employ the strength of technology to support the ingenuity of people, helping firms deliver significant business results.

A veteran instructor with hundreds of classes taught, Matthew is a frequent speaker at Autodesk University where he teaches effective training skills.

A registered interior designer, he has extensive experience designing laboratories, scientific buildings, and award-winning corporate interiors. Matthew received a BS in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology with two minors in programming.
